tw telecom was a the leading provider of managed services, including Business Ethernet, converged and IP VPN solutions for enterprises in the Capital Region, throughout the U.S., and globally.
In March 2012, the Fortune 500 Company came to Baker Public Relations to build brand awareness and increase visibility among its stakeholders and the media in the Albany market. Baker PR implemented a comprehensive communications plan to better connect tw telecom to the local business community and help differentiate tw telecom from its competition.
Baker PR worked in conjunction with tw telecom’s corporate communications team located in Littleton, Colorado, to deliver a consistent and cohesive message to the local market. Our plan included website consultation, media relations, business development initiatives, social media, event planning, trade show planning, advertising and design, community relations and video production.
Baker PR assisted tw telecom’s corporate team with the Albany launch of Dynamic Capacity (DC), Alerts Driven Dynamic Capacity® and DDoS Scrubbing service.
Additionally, we planned and executed an open house event at tw telecom’s 13,000 square foot co-location facility located in the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s (NYSERDA) Saratoga Technology + Energy Park® (STEP®) in Malta, NY. This event drew more than 75 tw telecom customers and business leaders and garnered front page coverage of the Times Union’s Business section.
Baker PR assisted tw telecom’s sales team for 2013 SUNY Technology Conference and created marketing materials such as a landing page, social media, giveaways, post conference survey and more. Baker PR also assisted with coordination and execution tw telecom Albany’s inaugural Customer Appreciation Day at Albany Country Club in Voorheesville. More than 100 customers and vendors turned out for the daylong event that began with lunch and golf.
