Cole’s Collision Center’s, a growing, family-owned auto repair company, contracted Baker PR to generate public interest and media awareness of their two most recent shop openings, in Halfmoon in 2012 and Colonie in 2015. The Colonie location opened in September 2015 with a ribbon-cutting celebration, planned and executed by Baker PR, and received coverage in local media and trade publications.
The success of that event segued into a long-term relationship with Cole’s bringing Baker PR in to handle an integrated marketing and public relations campaign. This includes press releases for new hires and company initiatives, media pitches, video and graphic design production.
Baker PR has secured media placements for Cole’s Collision Centers in the Albany Business Review, Times Union, Troy Record, Auto Body Business, Fender Bender Magazine and Time Warner Cable News.
Cole’s Collision Centers was awarded the Colonie Chamber of Commerce’s 2015 Community Beautification Achievement Award for their 1517 Central Avenue location.
Baker PR continues to promote Cole’s growth and expertise in auto repair, garnering media coverage to keep the company in the public’s mind. As the company looks to further expand, Baker PR is developing positive relationships with elected officials on Cole’s behalf.
Integrated Marketing Campaign
For the grand opening celebration of Cole’s Collision Center’s Colonie location, Baker PR took the reins on the planning and media relations surrounding the event. Baker PR negotiated contracts and hired catering and entertainment services for the evening. Our firmed handled all printed materials including guest invitations and an oversized check to Cole’s charity partner, The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region.
Several Albany-area media outlets reported on the opening, as well as Auto Shop Business, a trade publication with about 21,500 monthly online visits.
