MANCHESTER, NY – GreenRenewable, Inc. continues its growth in the lawn and garden products manufacturing industry with the opening of its newest facility in Manchester, N.Y. This will be the company’s fourth location, allowing for better service and distribution to its customers in Central and Western New York.
“Manchester is a great location that offers easier access to our clients in this part of the state,” said Sean Gallivan, president & CEO, GreenRenewable, Inc. “We’re proud of our growth in the Capital Region and look forward to working alongside the community here in Manchester.”
The facility, at 155 State Street, sits on 105 acres of industrial land, offers rail access, and 100,000 square-feet of interior manufacturing and storage space for reusable forest materials and finished bulk and bagged products. Those products include specialty soils, certified organic amendments, garden mulches, certified playground mulch, baseball infield mix and animal bedding.
Prior to GreenRenewable’s arrival, the land, which was previously home to a pre-cast concrete manufacturing operation, sat vacant for a period of seven years. Along with the facility’s revitalization, the company hopes to fill 25 new positions in the coming months.
“The Ontario County Office of Economic Development is delighted to see an adaptive re-use of the former Spancrete Building and property in Manchester,” said Michael Manikowski, economic developer, Ontario County Development. “We see GreenRenewable as an excellent addition to our diverse economic base and look forward to the jobs they will bring to our communities.”
GreenRenewable manages wood material recovery and repurposing facilities in Colonie, Watervliet and Berlin, N.Y. The company also handles its own organic materials collection and transportation logistics. Those services are offered to surrounding towns and municipalities, assisting in their compliance with state and federal regulations.
