Jim Lachimia has enjoyed a long and successful career in public relations that includes launching and managing his own firm for nearly 20 years. His areas of expertise include business development, media relations, strategic communications, and planning and executing special events. Because of his deep roots in Western Pennsylvania and connections with the media, Lachimia has joined the Pittsburgh office of Baker Public Relations to lead its business development efforts and to help grow and manage the Pittsburgh team.
After going into business for himself in 2001, Lachimia worked extensively with the Pittsburgh Pirates, The Rooney Sports & Entertainment Group, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Dapper Dan Charities. He also handled major projects for Robert Morris University, the University of Pittsburgh, Major League Baseball Properties, Habitat for Humanity, The Rotary Club of Pittsburgh, Chuck Cooper Foundation, Island Sports Center, Pittsburgh Magazine, Leadership League, and others.
Jim is a Pittsburgh native and graduate of Duquesne University. He resides in Seven Fields, Pa.
