Alyssa was born and raised in the Capital Region and has acquired over eight years of communications experience as a spokesperson, author, director of communications and brand ambassador.
Graduating from Wheaton College with a degree in health and communications, her passion led to a career as a volunteer spokesperson for over two-dozen health-related charities. She has spoken at the Chicago Bears Stadium, US Annual Tobacco Summit, and schools across the United States, bringing awareness to pressing causes including diabetes, scleroderma, ovarian cancer and eating disorders.
Prior to her role at Baker PR, Alyssa served as the Communications Director of a regional non-profit, Northway Fellowship Inc., for three years. She developed marketing strategies, prepared print and digital content, initiated media coverage, managed volunteer team members’ schedules and task lists, and executed the promotional needs of the organization. With her experience interning at FOX32 News in Chicago, Alyssa also served as a spokesperson on Northway’s weekly television program.
In her free time, Alyssa is an avid baker and cook. Her palate has refined as she has lived overseas, traveling to over a dozen countries. She is a self-published author and released her first book in October 2017, The Happy Mason Jar: Quick, Easy Mason Jar Desserts and Wine Pairings. She has since acted as her own media publicist and partnered with wineries across the globe to offer the perfect pairing for each of her 30 signature desserts.
Alyssa lives in Latham, N.Y. with her husband, Devin.
