CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – Coldwell Banker Prime Properties and its partners raised more than $4,000 for the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS) as part of the real estate agency’s annual golf tournament. Since first partnering with MHHS in 2013, the tournament has raised more than $10,000 for the non-profit organization which has used those funds to shelter and care for thousands of animals. The annual event is part of Coldwell Banker’s company-wide mission to not just find homes for clients, but forever homes for pets as well.
Last year, Coldwell Banker National last year partnered with Adopt-A-Pet.com, North America’s largest non-profit pet adoption website dedicated to matching rescued dogs with owners. The program helped more than 20,000 dogs find homes in 2015. As part of this partnership, Coldwell Banker franchises, including Prime Properties, have been encouraged to promote animal adoption on a regional level as well.
“We’re very proud of the generosity our employees and partners have shown through this effort,” said RJ Long, broker-owner, Coldwell Banker Prime Properties. “We’ve seen this event grow from year to year and continue to exceed our expectations in terms of money raised. Mohawk Hudson Humane Society is a great advocate for the animals in their care and we’re honored to be able to assist them in their mission.”
“The Society is thrilled with the amount of support we’ve received through this event and wish to thank everyone involved,” said Brad Shear, president & CEO, Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. “Through this support, we are able to provide needed services to the pets and pet owners of the greater Capital Region. In 2015 alone, our organization found new homes for 3,858 animals.”
