Keith D. Sernick, an accomplished and experienced attorney and lobbyist, decided to start his own government relations and lobbying firm in Albany, Long Island and Stamford, C.T. Sernick is an expert in analyzing tax lien foreclosures for clients and representing local municipalities and has worked with a varied clientele including Fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations, healthcare companies and financial institutions. Mr. Sernick is well respected downstate, but had no name recognition or brand equity upstate (Capital Region, North Country, Central New York, Southern Tier and Western New York). Sernick came to Baker PR to market his new company, State Street Advisers, and create a public relations campaign to announce his new company, what it does and why it matters.

 

Baker PR began by designing a logo that would distinguish the company and embody the State Street Advisers’ image. The logo and tag line served as the base for the marketing collateral. Baker PR immediately began a strategic and aggressive marketing and public relations campaign crafting press releases and pitching stories to the appropriate audiences. Baker PR created critical messaging points to explain in less than one minute what the company is and why it is important and who could benefit from its services.

 

Now, Baker PR acts as an advisor on messaging and positioning. We focus attention on tactical marketing channels and a media outreach plan that speaks directly to the company’s target constituents to increase visibility.  Baker PR also assists with community outreach to support the strategic marketing goal of raising Sate Street Advisers’ profile and encouraging business referrals; doing so has led credibility, value and recognition to the company.
