The Salvation Army Albany Area Services has provided thousands of families in need in the Capital Region with food, clothing, toys and furniture. Additionally, The Salvation Army aims to empower and assist at-risk families in the areas of literacy, computer training, health awareness, job enrichment skills and career path development. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
The Salvation Army came to Baker Public Relations to produce a marketing video that highlights the Salvation Army's programs and services. Baker PR wrote the script, coordinated the taping and testimonials from corporate sponsors, political leaders, volunteers and philanthropists, and Megan Baker provided the voice over for the piece. Capital News 9 director and videographer, Collie White, voluntarily shot and edited the entire video.
The result is a six-and-a-half-minute promotional video that encompasses all that the Salvation Army offers to the Capital Region community. The video speaks to current and potential corporate sponsors, individual donors and volunteers. The final project will premiere at a fall fundraiser that Baker Public Relations is coordinating to benefit The Salvation Army Albany Area Services. Additionally, Baker PR provides consultation for the not-for-profit organization's new web site slated to launch late summer 2008.
