ALBANY, N.Y. – Baker Public Relations, a full-service communications firm and New York State-Certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), announces the unveiling of its new video and podcast series, “InfluenceHER.”

The series features Megan Baker, president and CEO of Baker Public Relations, leading thought-provoking conversations with some of the Capital Region’s most interesting female influencers representing a variety of industries. The monthly series debuted its first episode in mid-July, and the upcoming third episode of “InfluenceHER” with One With Life Tequila Founder Lisa Elovich is scheduled to drop in early-September.

The series covers everything from inspiration to overcoming obstacles and allows viewers to learn what makes these women successful. Baker gets candid with her guests in a special segment at the end of each episode called “Baker’s Dozen.” In this part of the episode she asks the guests 13 rapid-fire questions to get to know them on a more personal level.

“The idea for ‘InfluenceHER’ was born by all the inspirational women we connect with through our work in the Capital Region and beyond every day,” said Baker. “As a woman who launched and runs a small business I understand, firsthand, the challenges of switching careers and the demands of growing a company all while balancing family life. I want to give my fellow female colleagues, peers and up-and-coming young professionals a platform to tell their story to inspire other women who may be experiencing similar challenges.”

The first episode featured Denise Dubois, owner of Complexions Spa in Albany and Saratoga Springs. Baker and Dubois discussed how she got her start before day spas existed, the challenges of running two successful locations in the Capital Region for more than 30 years, and creating her own skincare line due to launch in early 2020.

The second episode  featured Taylor Rao, a 25-year-old, writer, fashionista, personality and co-founder of Troy-based digital entertainment company Two Buttons Deep. Rao talks about making a name for herself in the Capital Region in only three years’ time, and taking risks in life, career and even fashion.

“InfluenceHER” is produced in-house by the team at Baker Public Relations.
